My Final Desire

I wrote this poem in Mach of 2011 after being told of the death of one of my life-long friends, I quite literary knew from his birth. It is by far my best poem, if not my best written work.

When this life hath flown from me
And Death’s sweet kiss I taste.
I will but one desire have
And this it will be:

Do not morn me over much
For I’ve found peace,
Serenity,
A place where I belong.
And here I’ll wait till one day,
Reunited, delighted we will be.

And if you must then morn me still,
Do so with a smile.
Live each moment to the max,
Celebrate each day.

For soon your turn it will be,
To kiss goodbye your friends
And family.

Something

Something to read

Something is an improv writing project that myself and a close friend, Edward Swardt, have been working on for a while. It started one night when I was bored and wanted to write something new. I wanted to try writing outside of my comfort zone so I aimed for something more romantic than the usual drama/sci-fi I write.

The first part total a half thousand words, give or take, and I sent it off to Ed, not knowing that he would send me a response the very next day in the form of his very own piece of Something. Or that’s how the legends goes, anyway.

Synopsis time!
Something is a story written by myself and Edward Swardt. It is a story of love, loss, secrets, friendship, conspiracy, action and drama. It follows the daily lives of the main characters, a close-knit group of friends, and their struggle to cope with their questionable pasts.

And now for a word from the legal team:
This story DOES contain text with explicit language. It is not overly mature, but some paragraphs are suggestive in nature.
All characters are fictitious, mostly, as well as the events that transpire. Any references to actual people or events are purely coincidental.

Parts 1 & 2 can be found on Mind's Blind Eye; Where Something Lives.

Me.Define()

(Yes, that was a little coding humor in the title. For the normal readers, this is my 'About Me' page)

Okay, so by day I'm an average person with an average job living in an average house in an average neighbourhood. By night, however, I fight crime as my alter ego...

No, I'm just messing with you. I'm a web developer working for a small company on the East Rand, a part time student doing by BSc in Computer Science, a game developer, a writer, a musician, a genius and all around awesome guy.

As for this blog, I will be posting my writing here (mostly in the form of poems) as well as code pertaining to general development or game development (mostly the latter).

That pretty much covers this page, I think. Feel free to look around and hit me up with any questions. My email address is around here…somewhere…
